Randstad Education are looking for a primary school teacher for a specialist SEN setting in Leeds.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Trauma, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons for a mixed-age group of primary students with ASD, ADHD, Trauma, and SEMH needs.
2. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
3. Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.
4. Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and address challenging behaviours.
5. Provide regular feedback to parents and collaborate with them to support the child's learning and well-being.
6. Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and interventions in the field of special education.
Qualifications and Experience:
7. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and experience working with primary students with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, Trauma, and SEMH.
8. Strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
10. Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with diverse needs.
