 
        
        Student IT Support Specialist
Student IT Support Specialist at Ohio University. Position supports IT operations for students, staff, and faculty.
Duties:
 * Supporting video conferencing classrooms by turning on equipment and reporting problems.
 * Assisting with inventory, testing, and cleaning of computer equipment.
 * Answering help desk phone, entering work orders, and resolving issues when possible.
 * Supporting campus events through setup, operating technology, and tear‑down.
 * Checking out and delivering equipment.
 * Supporting campus projects as needed.
 * Providing technical assistance by troubleshooting software or hardware issues, maintaining IT systems, and offering solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
 * Student status at Ohio University or another institution.
 * Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
 * Basic computer literacy.
 * Good interpersonal communication skills.
 * Ability to work productively without close supervision.
 * Ability to follow confidentiality policies.
 * Enrolled in classes at Ohio University, Hocking College, or another post‑secondary institution during the current or upcoming semester.
 * Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
 * Additional relevant experience or certifications.
Work Conditions:
 * Pay rate: $11.00 per hour.
 * Work hours flexible, with willingness to work morning and evening shifts as needed.
