Purchasing Manager role at Instarmac Group plc. Instarmac is a multi award-winning company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of cement and bitumen based products for world markets.
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement function. This on-site role is based at our Tamworth office, Monday to Friday (08:30 – 17:00), reporting to the Head of Operations. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and cost optimisation across a diverse portfolio of raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend.

Responsibilities
* Negotiate trading terms and agreements with vendors.
* Lead and manage the procurement team effectively.
* Drive supplier improvements as defined through KPIs, creating a plan for meaningful supplier reviews in conjunction with the Quality department.
* Deputise in the absence of the Head of Operations.
* Support insurance risk mitigation through on-site reviews and claims processes.
* Ensure all procurement aligns with the ethical trading policy and complies with targets and legal requirements (e.g., modern slavery).
Requirements
* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within manufacturing or construction.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and packaging regulations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* A proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for improvement.
