About the Role
Protocol Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of special educational needs across our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD).
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
* Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness, Safeguarding) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
