Nightshift Workshop Supervisor
Location: Tranent, East Lothian
We're looking for an experienced Nightshift Workshop Supervisor to lead our shop floor and keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of nightshift operations, coordinate people and resources, and ensure high standards across a busy steel fabrication environment.

What you'll be doing
Lead and supervise nightshift workshop operations
Plan and allocate work in line with production schedules and priorities
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Monitor progress and adjust labour and resources as needed
Act as the main point of contact for nightshift teams
Ensure accurate use of MRP and production tracking systems
Coordinate closely with day shift and other departments
Maintain clear handovers and communication between shifts
Escalate issues and support continuous improvement
What we're looking for
Experience supervising workshop or manufacturing teams
Background in steel fabrication or heavy engineering is highly desirable
Strong understanding of health and safety and workshop operations
Confident organising people, priorities, and production flow
Comfortable using MRP or production systems
Hands-on, practical leader with a calm, solutions-focused approach
