SEN Teaching Assistant - KS2

We are working closely with a supportive primary school in Grays, Essex, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism for the remainder of the school year.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and patient individual who is passionate about making a real difference to a child's learning and wellbeing. The school has a welcoming ethos, a strong SEN team, and is committed to providing inclusive, child-centred support.
The role:
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with autism
Support learning, emotional regulation, and engagement in the classroom
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting children with autism or additional needs
Be calm, patient, and nurturing in their approach
Be able to build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
Work well as part of a wider school and SEN team
