Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join our busy Real Estate team. The successful candidate will support fee earners on a range of real estate finance transactions, acting for lenders, borrowers, investors and developers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong interest in property law and finance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the management of real estate finance transactions from instruction through to post-completion.
* Drafting and reviewing standard documentation, including security documents, board minutes, certificates and ancillary documents.
* Conducting property due diligence, including reviewing title documents, leases, searches and replies to enquiries.
* Liaising with clients, counterparties, lenders and third parties to progress matters efficiently.
* Managing conditions precedent checklists and transaction timetables.
* Preparing Land Registry applications and Companies House filings.
* Supporting the completion process, including collating signature pages, preparing completion bibles and carrying out post-completion registrations.
* Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and professional regulations.
Skills & Experience
* Previous paralegal experience in real estate, banking or finance law is desirable.
* Strong academic background, ideally with an undergraduate law degree or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong drafting and legal research skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and legal research databases.
