One of the countries' largest, most successful and award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancies. They have multiple offices across the UK and have a solid reputation for successful project delivery throughout numerous sectors within the Built Environment. Projects can vary from small works to £m across Education, Heritage, High-End Residential, Cultural, Laboratories and more. They have a very modern, open-plan office space with a great young, energetic culture. You will get exposure to designing a wide range of electrical systems across multiple jobs and there is an excellent support system in place for staff training and development. They are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Glasgow office. They are flexible with experience level and salary will vary depending on this.
Role
1. Maintain, enhance and apply both design and technical knowledge ensuring production of high-quality drawings.
2. Electrical design of lighting, LV supply and small power distribution, earthing and lightning protection, fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS as well as other related electrical utility systems as assigned.
3. Preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Participate in the design progress and coordination meetings.
4. Prepare specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA work stages.
5. Attend tender / client interviews.
6. Attend site inspection meetings.
7. Liaise with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors and other designers.

Qualifications/Experience
9. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineer
10. Use knowledge of electrical building services to educate designs (HV/LV Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Lighting Control, Fire Alarms, Communication Systems, Lightning Protection, Security and Access Control etc.).
11. A minimum 1 years post graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
12. Full UK driving licence
13. Experience with AutoCAD, Amtech, Relux / Dialux
14. Experience with Revit is beneficial but not essential
15. Ideally working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
