* Please note this is a fixed term post until 30/06/2025, salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.


Working 4U Youth Learning are recruiting a Working 4U Youth Worker to support the delivery of our Get up and Go Youth Group (GUAG). The GUAG is a group for young people with additional support needs and is delivered by Working 4U part time staff and volunteers.

The Working 4U Youth Worker will assist in the planning and delivery of activities which aim to interact and engage with young people with additional support needs in Get Up and Go Youth Groups. This will include assisting all sections of the Working 4U service to plan and deliver educational and diversionary activities. Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
