JOB TITLE: Care Assistant
SALARY: £8.00 - £8.45 per hour + 25p per hour on Saturdays and Sundays + Full training + uniform + fully paid DBS check + option of completing an NVQ within care
WORKING HOURS: Full time / Part time hours available Monday – Sunday between the hours of 7am & 11pm
THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a Care organisation who provide home care in the Southport and Bradford areas. They are now looking to recruit Care Assistants to care for the 80+ residents within their own homes.
THE ROLE: The Care Assistant will provide a competent and professional direct domiciliary care to the company's clients. You will be acting in a professional and caring manner at all times, dealing with service users and their families.
Key Responsibilities for the Care Assistant role to include:-
• Travel throughout the community and visit the elderly service users homes
• Help service users get up in the morning, washed and dressed
• Help prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Help with any house work that needs doing and any additional house hold jobs
• Complete the service users Record Book at every visit with arrival and departure times, unusual events or any other information useful to other carers
THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will need to have patience and the ability to maintain a calm and consistent approach. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. It is desirable that you have experience within a domiciliary environment or hold an NVQ Level 2 within the Health and Social sector.
Key experience essential for the role of the Care Assistant:-
• Full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle
• Willing to complete a DBS check at employment stage
• Live within a commutable distance to Bradford
