The role directly contributes to the assessment and improvement of naval platform performance, helping our customers understand and reduce susceptibility to detection by underwater radiated noise.
Responsibilities
* Conducting noise and vibration measurements on naval platforms
* Performing data analysis and technical modelling
* Preparing detailed technical reports and presentations
* Supporting experimental trials and project planning
* Travelling to QinetiQ ranges, shipyards, and occasionally overseas
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop new tools and methods
Essential Experience
* Interest in engineering, science, or technical problem-solving
* Ability to analyse data and identify patterns
* Comfort working in both field and laboratory environments
* Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Flexible approach to travel and short-notice deployment
* Motivation to learn new techniques and methods
Essential Qualifications
* Practical or academic experience in engineering, science, or a technical discipline; formal degree not required
* Practical experience or relevant technical skills

This role is 37 hours per week based at QinetiQ Rosyth. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
