Owen Reed is seeking a Bids Executive for a leading law firm in Sevenoaks.

This role is hands-on and multidisciplinary, focusing on supporting business development services, particularly in responding to bids, proposals, tenders, and other strategic business opportunities. The goal is to generate new fees from prospects and existing clients.

The Bids Executive will coordinate bid production across practice groups, project manage, and oversee the delivery of bids on time.

Accountabilities

Tenders, pitches, and proposals

* Produce tender documents, proposals, and presentations as required, covering all offices, practice areas, and sectors.
* Advise on bid best practices.
* Use innovative approaches to highlight key themes and messages within proposals.
* Assist in maintaining an opportunities pipeline within the CRM database for tender information and analysis.
* Manage the process of delivering PQQs, RFIs, and ITTs from identification to post-submission.
* Support pitch teams with presentations, rehearsals, and critiques.
* Edit and rewrite content proposals, incorporating input from stakeholders.
* Utilize Pitch Perfect software and input data through SharePoint.
* Conduct web-based research for bid support.
* Undertake client and market research.

Legal Directories

* Coordinate the firm's annual legal directory submissions, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions to maintain rankings.
* Collaborate with the BD and Marketing Team to create collateral using InDesign.
* Explore new ideas to differentiate the firm in the marketplace.
* Support other BD and Marketing Team members across locations as needed.

The candidate

* Proven experience in writing proposals, tenders, and presentations, preferably in professional services.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and supportive of colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Flexible with working hours.
* Strong team player.

Qualifications/Experience

* Understanding of marketing and business development processes.
* Ability to positively influence colleagues, peers, partners, and clients with diplomacy and listening skills.
* Proactive attitude with enthusiasm and resilience.
* Analytical skills to identify problems and suggest solutions.
* Commitment to excellent service delivery.
* Effective project management, planning, and prioritization skills.
* Understanding of the firm's business and marketplace.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Interest in self-development and taking initiative.
* Proven proofreading and copywriting skills.
* Good knowledge of Excel.
* Knowledge of CRM or data management systems.
* Experience with desktop publishing tools like InDesign is a plus, but not essential.
