Spencer Clarke Group are working with a respected private children's residential service to recruit for several experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a permanent position based in Liverpool.
This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a high-quality, nurturing children's service committed to delivering exceptional care to young people. You'll play a key role in supporting the management team and leading shifts to ensure the smooth running of the home.
You will work within a three bed services, each supporting up to three young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe environment by identifying, recording, and escalating safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance.
Lead shifts, allocate tasks, ensure safe staffing levels, and provide guidance and support to the staff team.
Deliver nurturing, trauma-informed care that promotes young people's emotional, social, and educational development, encouraging independence and positive routines.
Build meaningful relationships with allocated young people, complete key work sessions, and contribute to assessments, placement plans, and risk management.
Promote positive behaviour using deescalation strategies, uphold behaviour management policies, and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of children.Key Responsibilities:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential.
Experience supporting children and young people.
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
Confident communication and leadership abilities.
Previous experience in senior or shift-leading role.
Previous experience in trauma-informed practice.
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour - £60 Per Sleep
Working pattern - Shift work including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins as required
