Job Description
Assist with providing an efficient and effective integrated facilities management service within a Council/Partner premise. This includes reactive services covering Janitorial, Cleaning, and Crossing patrols across a service area, ensuring delivery aligns with the Council's key objectives, specifically related to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become or be a current PVG Scheme member before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
Employment references should follow the national guidance "Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment." During application, applicants must provide at least two relevant references, including one from their current or most recent employer, which should be from an appropriate senior manager.

Position Details
This is a temporary full-time position based at Nether Robertland Primary School, Stewarton, until 31st July 2026. The working hours are 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm, and Friday from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, including a 1-hour unpaid break, with a 2-hour weekend security check between November and March.
