Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out reactive and preventative maintenance in a busy FMCG manufacturing environment. You will support continuous improvement initiatives and work closely with other departments to optimise equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* React promptly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
* Diagnose faults, analyse issues, and implement effective solutions.
* Perform both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve site operations.
* Maintain safe working practices and clear communication at all times.
* Attend meetings, analyse performance data, and recommend continuous improvements.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
* Strong electrical experience, preferably in FMCG.
* Skilled in controls, automation hardware, and software.
* Experience in reactive and preventative maintenance.
* Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team.
Desirable Skills:
* Strong problem-solving and fault analysis capabilities.
* Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
* Familiarity with production line automation and PLCs.
