As the nation’s expert national health security agency UKHSA will: Prevent: anticipate threats to health and help build the nation’s readiness, defences and health security Detect: use cutting edge environmental and biological surveillance to proactively detect and monitor infectious diseases and threats to health Analyse: use world-class science and data analytics to assess and continually monitor threats to health, identifying how best to control and mitigate the risks Respond: take rapid, collaborative and effective actions nationally and locally to mitigate threats to health when they materialise Lead: lead strong and sustainable global, national, regional and local partnerships designed to save lives, protect the nation from public health threats and reduce inequalities. Job overview You will be joining the Chief Data Officer (CDO) Group. The role sits within the CDO Performance Team who are responsible for: Ensuring Senior Leaders can make clear and informed decisions through presentation of appropriate and accurate data. Providing assurance to the Senior Team on corporate governance matters that include workforce, finance, business continuity and risks. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the needs of all are being met. Developing policies and procedures to ensure the Group activity is compliant. As CDO Governance and Reporting Manager you will manage and control governance activities for the CDO Group, typically of moderate complexity, to enable effective management and decision-making. Advert In this role you will serve as lead secretariat for the CDO Group Boards, including, Strategic Alignment Day, and any other Group performance and operational Boards. This includes forward planning, agenda management, and action tracking. support the fortnightly CDO Commercial Approval Steering Group. Developing and maintaining the CDO commercial governance and approval process and owning the register of the pipeline (new) and contract workplan (existing contracts). draft and manage the terms of reference for boards, defining roles & responsibilities of its members. support senior leaders to draft board agendas and prepare papers, record board decisions and work with owners to provide report updates. lead on governance functions, including preparing briefings and presentations for meetings, commissioning work from the wider team/or other Divisions or Directorates. collate, review, and analyse data from stakeholders, working with them to resolve any anomalies or gaps. contribute to the development, testing, and exercising of Group business continuity plans. produce written guidance and standard operating procedures for administrative procedures and protocols. develop effective communication channels for the sharing of information manage team members and leading a Governance function, demonstrating a culture of continuous improvement.
