Job Description
The Senior Project Planner will work on high-profile defence construction projects in Catterick Garrison, providing performance reporting and analysis support.
This role may be part of a large team or as the key day-to-day contact point with the client. Key activities include:
* Ensure schedule-related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering, and construction contractors is provided as feedback into planning and scheduling systems;
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced, maintaining independence as a planning engineer when advising on issues requiring judgment;
* Ability to balance multiple projects in different locations and with multiple contractors;
* Track and monitor the portfolio schedule;
* Prepare the integrated planning/scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and other reports/presentations;
* Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of variances or change orders;
* Prepare resourcing plans for overall and individual project phases, identifying peak resource requirements and making recommendations for peak leveling.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a project planning environment within the construction industry is required.
* Applicants should ideally be degree-educated, with relevant industry sector experience.
* Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 is essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with rigorous adherence to documented processes and governance. Ability to innovate creatively to meet project challenges is also important.
