Job Description
* Conduct thorough inspections of various types of lifting equipment including cranes, hoists, and rigging in accordance with LOLER & PUWER
* Identify and document equipment defects, malfunctions and safety concerns
* Provide recommendations for repairs, replacements or maintenance activities based on inspection findings
* Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports for compliance purposes
* Collaborate to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
* Service, Repair & Inspect Lifting Equipment on customer sites & the companies workshop
* Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures
* Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations to ensure accurate and effective inspections
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms for Lifting & Handling Equipment
* LEEA Qualifications, or time served in relevant industry
* Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment
* A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required
* Good understanding of method statement and risk assessments
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
* Organisation
* Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
