Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – 6-month contract – Warwick
My Customer is looking for a Platform / Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of a hybrid technology estate spanning cloud and on-premise environments. This role combines hands-on operational support with technical leadership, driving platform improvements, modernisation initiatives, and ensuring a secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure.
Key Skills from the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:
1. Hybrid Platform Operations: Proven experience managing and supporting production environments across both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
2. Cloud Platforms & Services: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
3. Exposure to decommissioning landing Zones.
4. On-Premise Infrastructure
5. Strong background in Windows Server environments and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
6. Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
7. Operational Support & Incident Management
8. Governance & Cost Management - Azure
9. Understanding of governance frameworks, cost optimisation strategies, and usage monitoring across cloud and hybrid platforms.
