Job Advert: Service EngineerLocation: Crawley, UKSalary: £32,000–£45,000 (dependent on skills and experience)Hours: 9:00–17:30, with occasional out-of-hours workAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain a broad range of Audio Visual (AV) and LED display equipment within our clients technical inventory. You’ll work closely with Operations, Technical Managers and on-site teams to ensure our equipment meets the highest standards of performance, safety and reliability.Key Responsibilities

o Diagnose, fault-find and repair professional AV and LED display equipment
*
o Perform board- and component-level repairs (including soldering/hot air rework)
*
o Maintain power distribution systems, including 400V three-phase
*
o Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, firmware updates and testing
*
o Manage and perform PAT testing and compliance checks
*
o Ensure accurate repair tracking, certification and documentation
*
o Support operational teams by prioritising urgent repairs
*
o Provide occasional on-site technical support and field repairs
*
o Assist with stock control and warranty/service return management
*
o Contribute to continuous improvement and asset lifecycle reporting
Skills & Experience
*
o Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
*
o Competent in soldering and PCB repair
*
o Understanding of electrical safety standards
*
o Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
*
o Good IT skills xsngvjr and familiarity with asset/service management systems
*
o Experience with three-phase power (desirable)
*
o BS7909 certification (desirable)
