This is a varied role working as a peripatetic Occupational Health Advisor (OHA). This position is part of the occupational health (OH) team responsible for the efficient delivery of comprehensive occupational health services to all new and existing clients. It is primarily a home-based role covering the advertised location, but it requires flexibility to travel nationally for clinics and on-site appointments, with occasional overnight stays in line with business needs.
Role & Responsibilities
A typical day involves attending various clinics or on-site appointments as directed by our Occupational Health Schedulers. The role entails the full remit of OH duties, including:
* Remote case management
* Fit to work medicals
* Health surveillance
* Health promotion
* Vaccination programmes
* Wellbeing services
* Training services
Skills & Experience Required
* Current Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
* Occupational health qualification, recorded on part 3 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register (preferred but not essential)
* HAV’s Tier 3 qualification or willingness to undertake training for further qualification
* Confident working independently with a proactive, can-do attitude and resilient personality
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Ability to stay motivated in challenging environments
* Computer literacy with good keyboard skills
