Job Title: Chef (Care Home)
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A CARE HOME
Introduction:
We are looking for a positive, passionate, and enthusiastic Chef to join a well-established care home team. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage an efficient and cost-effective ordering system for provisions and non-consumable items within budgetary limits.
* Organise and supervise the Catering Department to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities.
* Develop and maintain rotational menus that provide choice and meet nutritional requirements within the allocated budget.
* Prepare and present meals in an appetising manner, following the approved menu cycle.
* Ensure high standards of meal preparation and presentation for service users, visitors, and staff.
* Assess food output quality and maintain service user engagement to gather feedback and improve service.
* Promptly report all complaints related to catering services to the Manager.
* Cater to special dietary needs and preferences, liaising with the Manager where necessary.
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to hygiene regulations at all times.

Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

* Ability to cater to a variety of dietary requirements.
