Brighton College Prep Handcross seeks an inspirational and well qualified, self-employed, Visiting Teacher of Clarinet and Saxaphone to start as soon as possible.
This is a great opportunity for you to work in an ambitious and thriving Music Department with a full co-curricular music programme. The Department looks to increase and develop the provision of teaching of string instruments within the school, therefore an ability to lead a group activity would be an advantage and there is scope and support for growing the current pupil base. You will be an enthusiastic team-player and an inspiring musician with a proven record of teaching from beginner to advanced level.
There are around 13 peripatetic music staff at the School, teaching across a wide range of orchestral instruments, keyboard and voice. Pupils take weekly lessons which can range from 20 minutes to 1 hour in duration, depending on their skill and level. The Music Department encourages all musicians to take part in ensemble playing as part of their musical and social development.
