Senior Financial Analyst
Up to £60,000 - £65,000 per annum (+ benefits) depending on experience
New role for a Senior Financial Analyst created. Exciting opportunity to join a growing company in the outsourced Hotel housekeeping and cleaning industry operating in UK and Europe.
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) plus healthcare, accident insurance, pension
Location: Home based but must be prepared to travel for meetings (travel costs reimbursable)
This is an exciting time for the company who have an aggressive expansion plan for the coming years. You will report into the Deputy Finance Director working with the finance team and wider operations management team. You will be a key member of the team analysing financial data across all contracts to provide recommendations and report internally to the board of directors to help make key financial decisions.
Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
· Developing and maintaining financial models to support contract performance, planning and forecasting
· Work with Operations Teams to develop and monitor the relevant KPIs to track the performances of the business
· Data gathering and trend analysis to include collection and gathering information from various data sources in order to identify financial trends at contract level
· Lead month -end and year-end processes for contract cost analysis and reconciliation back to financial accounts
· Work with the Deputy Finance Director at month end to review and analyse the performance of the business results at contract level against forecasts
· Produce monthly analysis and presentations for the Board when required
· Participate in ad hoc projects to improve financial performance
· Design and produce ad hoc reports for all areas of the business as required
· Being integral part of the Project management team for the roll out of new financial software
Senior Financial Analyst Skills and experience:
· Ideally Qualified Accountant, however qualification through experience acceptable
· Proficient in financial software (Sage 200 / Sage Intacct)
· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (inc pivot tables, macros, queries)
· Ability to spot trends and pick out inaccuracies though analytical review
· Comfortable building detailed financial models for analytical and forecasting purposes
· Strong communication across all levels of the business
· Excellent management and mentoring skills
· Inquisitive and analytical mind, thriving on tackling complex problems, and constantly building and refining processes with rigour and diligence
· Not afraid to challenge the status quo
· Self starter that is well organised and able to multi-task and be a team player and work independently
· Project management skills
· Previous experience in a fast-paced commercial or fast growth environment
