About the team
You'll join an established Data Platform team delivering strategic solutions using an agile approach.
Built on a modern cloud estate with Snowflake and Azure at its core, the team is expanding its capabilities to meet wide-ranging business needs.
You'll collaborate across architecture, engineering, and business domains, contributing to the organisation's enterprise-wide architecture vision.
About the role
As Data Platform Architect, you'll have real autonomy and will work across 5 squads of 40 people in total to help shape and evolve the architectural roadmap for a rapidly scaling data platform.
This is a player coach role, so although it has a strategic focus, you should also be comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and being hands-on to help build out POCs.
Required skills
* Proven experience architecting and scaling Snowflake-based data platforms in Azure
* Strong understanding of modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Fabric, Lakehouse, ELT)
* Knowledge of data governance frameworks (eg, DCAM)
* Hands-on IaC experience in Azure (Terraform)
* CI/CD pipeline implementation
* Strong communicator with experience in agile, cross-functional delivery
* Excellent problem-solving, autonomy, and commitment to engineering best practice
* Collaborative mindset and continuous-learning approach
Desired
* Financial services or regulated-industry exposure
* Docker/Snowpark
* Streaming tech (Kafka, Event Hub)
* Collibra integration
* Python proficiency
