We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our trauma-informed team—where connection comes before correction, and every moment is an opportunity to support healing and growth.
?? What You’ll Do:
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students who have experienced trauma, adversity, or SEMH challenges.
* Support emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and learning—both in and out of the classroom.
* Use tools like sensory breaks, co-regulation, and restorative conversations to create a safe, nurturing environment.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver consistent, relational support.
* Celebrate progress—no matter how small—and help students feel seen, heard, and valued.
?? What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people (in education, care, or youth work is a plus).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication.
* A willingness to learn about trauma-informed practice and relational approaches.
* A team player who’s flexible, reflective, and ready to grow.
