Oakfield Park School – Rated “Outstanding” is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated full-time Teaching Assistants to join our expanding outstanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties including students with autism and behaviours of concern in a highly nurturing and forward-thinking educational environment.

Successful candidates will be:
1. Committed to providing the best possible educational opportunities for children with severe and complex learning difficulties.
2. Enthusiastic and motivated to work alongside teachers to deliver and support learning programmes tailored to individual pupil needs.
3. Supportive of the school’s values and ethos, and eager to contribute to our whole-school approach.
4. Committed to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
5. Willing to undertake necessary medical training (e.g. first aid, administering medication, tracheostomy suctioning, enteral feeding, administering oxygen, ventilation).
6. Open to training related to Autism, behaviours that challenge (Team Teach), and other complex needs.
7. Confident, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and using initiative to ensure positive outcomes for students.
8. Committed to continuous professional development and self-evaluation.
9. Flexible and able to work across a variety of school settings as needed.
10. Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
Desirable (Training can be provided):
11. Relevant qualifications: Team Teach, Moving and Handling, First Aid at Work, MIDAS (minibus driving).
12. Experience using a recognised form of sign language (e.g., Makaton, BSL).
