What you will be doing
To lead and deliver technical initiatives that introduce innovative solutions, supporting the evolution of Vodafone's network infrastructure towards modern, cloud-based environments aligned with Group strategy. The role includes developing and inspiring a high-performing team, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and establishing clear design and delivery standards across Vodafone's Core infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* To lead strategic oversight of all Programmes in conjunction with the Operational Delivery Lead to align delivery execution with financial targets. Including driving programme direction and ensuring strategic alignment to ensure the optimal profitability and supporting the division's overall contribution.
* Be accountable for delivery against agreed financial and service targets/KPIs, resolving high-level delivery obstacles, to ensure this business unit meets desired financial performance as part of the wider Telco division through service excellence and reinforced client trust.
* Manage assigned project ensuring cost controls, accurate forecasting, and commercial integrity. Conduct variance analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor project financial health through structured reporting to deliver maximum profitability and optimal delivery results.
* Ensure the quality of service delivered is consistent with the Programme Office Framework and methodology which ensures documentation is produced to the required quality and compliance standards to ensure the best service is delivered to the end client.
* Ensure projects remain within the original scope or that changes are clearly identified and the commercial impact and risks are clearly assessed to limit our liabilities and ensuring that the accounts are profitable.
* Maintain and review all service level agreements and lead quarterly business reviews with the end client to ensure service and delivery targets are met.
You will ideally have
* Extensive Project / Programme Manager experience with relevant qualifications (MSP or equivalent)
* Background of successfully delivering large scale, complex programmes, ideally in Core and Cloud space.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management working across multiple areas/teams including reporting up to Senior Leadership Team.
* SC clearance is ideal but not specifically required
