Role: Quantity Surveyor Location: Aberdeen or Livingston – Hybrid Working

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll bring contractual expertise to construction projects across the UK’s Gas Transmission System. From control system upgrades and asset decommissioning to new builds and hydrogen transition projects, your work will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of gas while supporting the move toward cleaner energy.
What You’ll Do
Take ownership of a portfolio of contracts and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors to achieve excellence.
Manage complex contracts, simplifying challenges to keep projects on track.
Work nationally with a flexible mix of home-based tasks and travel to sites or offices.
Partner closely with the Commercial Manager to deliver strategic outcomes and measurable results.Security Clearance This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. What We’re Looking For
Proven experience with NEC Contracts (A, C & E).
Strong skills in risk management, cash flow forecasting, and supply chain oversight.
Commercial acumen and familiarity with reporting systems.
Expertise in contract management, including payment applications, early warnings, and compensation events.
Ability to lead procurement activities, from tender evaluations to negotiations.
Experience across both pre- and post-contract stages.
Knowledge of the gas transmission system.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to support projects in other regions when needed.
