Teacher of Maths
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Minimum 1 Term
GSL Education are seeking a skilled Teacher of Maths with experience supporting pupils with Autism to join one of our partner alternative provisions in York. The successful candidate will act as Key Worker for a Key Stage 3 ASC group and teach KS4 Maths only.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Maths at KS4 and supporting KS4 learners with Autism.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Ability to act as Key Worker and provide personalised pastoral support.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, differentiated Maths lessons to KS4 learners.
• Act as Key Worker for a KS4 ASC group, supporting both academic and emotional development.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
