Responsibilities

1. Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of relevant changes.
2. Own the SMCR-relatedernance activities including regulatory submissions, board reporting, policies and internal audits.
3. Coordinate annual SMF and Certified Person reviews, fitness and propriety assessments, and annual certification processes.
4. Maintain accurate andplete SMCR documentation in line with FCA expectations including preparation, and FCA submission of all respective paperwork such as Form A's
5. Design and deliver SMCR training to Senior Managers, Certified Persons, and Conduct Rules staff.
6. Ensure consistent understanding and implementation of SMCR obligations across the firm.
7. Collaborate with HR on onboarding, offboarding and lifecycle changes for individuals in scope of SMCR, including regulatory references.
8. Liaise with Legal and Risk functions onernance, conduct risk, and accountability frameworks.
9. Support FCA and PRA interactions including requests, interviews, and thematic reviews.
10. Manage internal and external audits of SMCR processes
We are looking for a collaborative, and forward-thinkingernance professional who brings:
11. Experience as apany Secretary or Deputy/Assistantpany Secretary in a regulated financial services environment (banking or investment services preferred).
12. Strong understanding of UKpany law, corporateernance codes, and FCA/PRA regulatory frameworks.
13. Excellent organisational, drafting, andmunication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
14. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
15. Experience supporting Risk and Auditmittees is highly desirable.
16. A legal qualification (LLB, LPC, or SQE) or ICSA/CGI qualification is advantageous but not essential.
17. Proven experience (3-5 years minimum) in SMCRpliance within financial services, ideally a fintech or challenger bank.
18. Deep understanding of the UK's SMCR framework and FCA expectations.
19. Experience with regulatoryernance,pliance documentation, and board-level interaction.
Location
20. London (5 days per week in the office)
21. Travel to other locations may be required on occasion.
