Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations Manager
Scale Production for a Cutting-Edge Robotics Startup
I’m working with a fast-growing startup building one of the most innovative consumer hardware products in the world and they’re now looking for a hands-on, technically strong operations leader to take full ownership of their end-to-end hardware production pipeline.
This is a rare chance to join a company scaling from prototype to mass production — and you’ll be at the centre of making that happen.
You’ll manage everything from global suppliers → logistics → BOM accuracy → contract manufacturing → quality control → final product hitting the customer’s doorstep.
A true end-to-end hardware operations leadership role.
🔧 Key responsibilities
* Oversee a multi-country supply chain (UK, EU, China, US, Asia)
* Manage POs, supplier relationships, contracts & cost reduction
* Plan inbound shipments, optimise logistics routes & reduce landed cost
* Maintain stock, inventory systems, ERP/MRP data & component traceability
* Own the BOM, revisions, and engineering change rollout
* Lead production with a UK contract manufacturer, hitting output targets
* Improve processes, work instructions, yields & assembly efficiency
* Implement QC/QA across suppliers, in-process checks & final product
* Solve mechanical, electrical, PCB, and assembly issues with engineering
What you bring
* 5–10+ years in hardware supply chain, production engineering, or operations
* Experience working with Asian suppliers & scaling hardware products
* Strong understanding of mechanical parts + electromechanical assemblies
* BOM/ERP experience & ability to drive engineering change
* Hands-on, detail-driven, highly organised and calm under pressure
* Startup mindset — rapid execution, ownership, and problem-solving
Why this role?
Because you’ll be one of the key people taking a groundbreaking new hardware product from small-batch production to full-scale commercial success.
High impact. High visibility. Real ownership. Fast growth environment.
