We are looking for an Engineering Charge Hand to organise and oversee the work of fitters within a depot environment, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities • Organise jobs within the workshop or depot according to priorities and staff/material availability • Manage any external contractors working at the depot • Ensure all Health & Safety policies are followed by staff and visitors • Monitor stock levels of materials and components • Liaise with other departments regarding workloads and deadlines • Keep accurate records of work completed and maintain required documentation • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the workshop or depot Qualifications & Skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience managing staff and handling Health & Safety matters • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation • Highly motivated with strong leadership abilities • Proven ability to take ownership and accountability • Experience using computerised systems What Arriva Can Offer You Competitive salary Full-time permanent role Monday–Friday day shifts (with flexibility required) Career progression opportunities Dedicated 1-to-1 mentoring Access to training courses and certifications Free bus travel for you and a nominated family member living in the same household Access to the Arriva Village – retail discounts and offers worth up to £1,200 per year 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays Arriva workplace pension
