Marketing Manager - Swindon Summary Important notice In line with our redeployment policy, we'll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy. We’re looking for a Marketing Manager specialising in web marketing to join us. In this expert role, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of web marketing strategies that support brand, commercial, content and engagement objectives. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll use data-driven insights to improve merchandising performance, test personalisation strategies, and stay ahead of web marketing trends. This is a hands-on role with influence across multiple stakeholder groups, requiring strong analytical skills, stakeholder collaboration, and a enthusiasm for continuous improvement. What it's like to work here Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You’ll be managing the performance of web marketing activity to deliver key trading and audience engagement outcomes. As a web marketing expert, you’ll manage the merchandising of our homepage and marketing pages, ensuring they’re optimised, relevant, and aligned with wider marketing and supporter strategies. You’ll work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager – Owned and collaborate with digital, paid, content, and customer teams to deliver measurable improvements in priority audience engagement through enhanced web marketing experiences. You’ll keep our website relevant in a channel experiencing high change due to the impacts of developing technology. You’ll stay up to date with digital merchandising trends, dynamic content capabilities, and site personalisation techniques, supporting testing and innovation in web-based engagement strategies. You’ll find new ways to create web marketing experiences that connect people with our places and purpose, using performance data and user insights to increase audience engagement across priority web journeys. You’ll use data and best practice to optimise our approach to organic search marketing and lead the planning and execution of search and merchandising strategies across campaign pages, homepage, and thematic content, ensuring alignment with seasonal, campaign and brand priorities. Who we're looking for Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role. In your application, please provide details of how you meet the minimum criteria below: Expertise in web marketing and merchandising best practices including segmentation, personalisation and automation Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret web data and draw actionable insights Experience working with dynamic content and personalisation Strong understanding of CMS platforms Stakeholder management – able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and take input from multiple sources Additional criteria for all other applicants: Hands-on experience using customer data to improve web performance and target specific segments. Demonstrated ability to manage campaign schedules and coordinate with internal stakeholders and/or external agencies. Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive communication practices.
