Key Responsibilities
* Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance
* Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies and requirements
* Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to deliver cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
* Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet required specifications and standards
* Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed of industry trends, pricing changes, and potential new suppliers
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases and supplier performance
* Compliance: Ensure all procurement activity adheres to internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards
Requirements
* Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
