Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Conversion Operator to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity for genuine progression as they thrive within the role. We are looking for a Conversion Operator with proven and demonstrable experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector, ideally plastics/polythene.

Duties:
Primary responsibilities Set-up of orders, as stated on product specifications and the operation of Conversion Machines, for example Arvors & Woodbanks.
* Reel changes (involving manoeuvring and use of heavy-duty reel lifters).
* Quality checks as per agreed standard.
Packing product & labelling.
* Production quantity checks as per agreed standard.
* Changing machinery settings when required and replacing basic parts.
* Ensure all tasks are carried out with safety as the principal feature.
* Carry out and maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the department.
* Be an active team member and be able to work without supervision.
* Undertake any departmental task deemed reasonable by management.
* Contribute to maintaining the health, safety and security of the working environment and carry out all activities and operations safely and without risk to health.
Experience:
Skill/Experience Experience in a similar role within manufacturing would be ideal.
* Experience within Polythene Conversion, working on Arvors or Woodbanks or similar machines would be advantageous.
* Experience using manual machinery within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
* Be proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and with a drive to succeed.
* A good level of physical fitness is essential as the role requires regular and repetitive heavy lifting.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
* Confident communicator with a good grasp of the English language both written and oral.
