NESO is looking for a Specialist Job Coach to provide support to colleagues who are disabled, neurodiverse and/or have additional learning needs. Reporting to the Early Careers EmployAbility Lead, the Job Coach will provide specialist support to graduate interns, apprentices, graduates and existing employees who are disabled, neurodiverse and/or have additional learning needs, enabling them to be and continue being productive in their jobs.

This full‑time, permanent role offers hybrid working with an expectation to be in the office at least one day per week. Based in Warwick, you may travel to Wokingham, Glasgow and London.


Key Accountabilities

* The Job Coach will work with external Job Coaches from Education Providers and Supported Employment Agencies to ensure a high‑quality experience and outcomes for the live people on the Supported Internship.
* Provide support to the EmployAbility Programme Lead in delivering expansion plans for the Supported Internship and wider EmployAbility programmes, ensuring sustainability and quality standards.
* Provide specialist support to Early Careers cohorts and NESO colleagues who are disabled, neurodiverse and/or have additional learning needs.
* Lead the development of adjustment passports.
* Provide advice on reasonable adjustments such as assistive technology or specialist resources.
* Help colleagues communicate their needs and goals to placement teams or line managers.
* Responsible for implementing the support package or equipment required.
* Support individuals and internal teams with recruitment and onboarding.
* Build and maintain relationships with the DiversAbilities Employee Resource Group.
* Upskill Supported Internship placement teams, coordinators, line managers and site leads to recruit and retain a diverse workforce who can reach their potential at NESO.
* Work with Supported Internship site leads on events planning and delivery, including inspiration and awareness days.
* Outreach with local SEN schools, SEN colleges and mainstream providers where young people have EHCPs in Warwick, Wokingham and wider areas.
* Deliver disability‑confident training to NESO colleagues hosting EmployAbility interns.
* Liaise with teams across the business to secure suitable placement teams for the Supported Internship and work placements for SEN work experience.
* Support review and creation of accessibility guidance as required.
* Serve as subject‑matter expert to support NESO projects promoting inclusion and accessibility.


About You

* Hold a relevant qualification, B.A.S.E qualified. Ideally Supported Employment Techniques Training (TES) and/or Training in Systematic Instruction (TSI) or willingness to acquire an appropriate qualification.
* Previous experience in business or education. Specialist and extensive experience working with people who are disabled, neurodiverse and/or have a learning disability.
* Knowledge of EHCPs is desirable.
* Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
* Knowledge of SIQAF and understanding of Access to Work application process desirable.
* Experience working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills.
* Flexible and enthusiastic with passion and drive for change.


About What You’ll Get

A competitive salary between £41,000 – £44,000pa, dependent on experience and capability. You will also receive a bonus based on company performance, 26 days annual leave, and a competitive contributory pension scheme where the company doubles match your contribution up to a maximum of 12%.

NESO will build on its capabilities and ways of working to create an organisation the energy system and its users need.
