Werneth Medical Practice’s mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care though a framework we call the 4 H’s:

Our team includes Two GPs, One Practice Nurse, one Phlebotomist as well as our Practice Manager and Reception staff. We also now have allied staff via our Primary care network such as Social prescribers, Pharmacists and First contact physios. Dr Bilal Butt is the CQC registered manager and we run our services at the Werneth Primary Care Centre on Featherstall Road South.

We offer a full General Practice service and run specialist clinics for children, those with chronic diseases such as Diabetes and Asthma and women’s health. We aim to involve you in the decisions made about your health and act as advocates for your best interests.

At Werneth Medical Practice, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know who you are speaking to, so our practice staff identify themselves on the telephone.

Description

• Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice in a polite and professional manner
• Handling incoming calls, booking appointments and signposting patients appropriately
• Managing patient queries, both in person and via telephone or online requests
• Processing prescriptions and supporting administrative tasks
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
• Liaising with clinical staff and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• Previous reception or customer service experience (experience in a GP practice is desirable but not essential)
