We are pleased to share a new and exciting opportunity for a permanent Band 3 Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join the Infection and Immunity team at Barts Health NHS Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive team player with effective communication skills and attention to detail.
You will be required to
·Ensure that all HIV homecare prescriptions, orders and invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner
·Liaise directly with homecare providers and service users to ensure an efficient service and supplies continue as appropriate
·Liaise with finance team and homecare providers to resolve invoice related queries.
·Assist the HIV/Sexual Health Pharmacists with day-to-day queries
This is an exciting and stimulating role which will appeal to an individual who wants to be involved in a specialised clinic area.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of repeat prescription service for HIV patients, in conjunction with the HIV clinical support Technician and HIV Specialist Pharmacist.
The post holder will carry out pharmacy top up service of stock medicines within the service and ensure good communication between patients and the multi disciplinary team.
The post holder will be expected to maintain patient confidentiality, as all patient information is strictly confidential and information may only be shared with minimum number of designated staff.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. •GCSE grades A -C or 1-4 in Maths and English Language
2. •Level 2 Apprenticeship Pharmacy Services Assistant or committed to undertake
Experience
Essential criteria
3. •Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used medicines
4. •Demonstrate ability to perform relevant calculations
5. •Demonstrate ability to problem solve and use initiative
6. •Experience of Office systems including use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
7. •Interpret and dispense prescriptions accurately
Desirable criteria
8. •Experience of CMM
Knowledge
