Overall Purpose:
The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination, ensuring effective data management, recruitment, induction, and support of volunteers. The role involves service development, promoting good practice, and collaborating with service leads and SMT.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Coordination: Develop and refine volunteer recruitment strategies, oversee the volunteer database, process Access NI checks, ensure role descriptions and training are up-to-date, develop new initiatives, promote volunteering, and maintain communication with volunteers.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: Develop monitoring and evaluation processes, support case study development, conduct satisfaction surveys, and ensure alignment with funding requirements.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Review and develop policies, promote diversity, and ensure standards for volunteer management are maintained.
4. Data and Information Management: Collect and analyze data, ensure GDPR compliance, and support external communication and fundraising.
5. External Relationships: Build stakeholder relationships, attend meetings, and develop partnerships.
6. General: Support volunteers, promote services, and undertake additional duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential: Experience in delivering training and managing volunteers, GCSEs in English and Math, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, IT proficiency, team work, independence, adaptability, empathy, commitment to values, and a valid driving license with access to transport.
Desirable: Experience in health and social care, community engagement, developing training, volunteer involvement, relevant qualifications, and management training.
