Our client are looking for someone to join the team to support the commercial director in managing the cost, tendering, procurement and administration of multiple residential projects, while also assisting with technical coordination and document control.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop into a Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager with exposure to both commercial and technical aspects of residential development and working alongside a Fellow of the CIOB and RICS for guidance.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Support

Assist with tendering, subcontractor comparisons, and cost analysis
*
Prepare and track purchase orders, invoices and payment applications
*
Maintain procurement schedules and subcontractor matrixes
*
Support with take-offs, cost plans and valuations
*
Input into budget tracking and cost reporting tools (e.g. Excel, QuickBooks)
Technical & Coordination Admin
*
Assist with tracking planning condition discharge items
*
Help prepare and collate submissions for building control and warranty
*
Liaise with consultants for drawings, specs, and design queries
*
Support utilities applications and follow-ups (electric, gas, water, telecom)
*
Maintain drawing issue logs and document registers
Customer Care
*
Help manage Clixifix platform for aftercare tracking
*
Assist with coordinating snagging and defect resolution between site and subcontractors
*
Log and track completion certificates, warranties, and handover documents
Ideal Candidate Profile:
*
3-5 years' experience in residential construction or developer environment
*
Basic understanding of construction procurement and cost management
*
Confident working with drawings, schedules, and consultant teams
*
Good Excel and general IT skills (Word, Outlook; AI software a bonus)
*
Organised, methodical and proactive—can handle multiple tasks and follow-up independently
*
Eager to learn and grow into a more senior QS or PM role
