Advanced Manufacturing Engineer role at Collins Aerospace. This site-level position supports the HS Marston site in Wolverhampton and involves working with production teams and modern automation technologies to transform the shop floor into a connected, data-driven environment. Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise project teams of manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
* Oversee daily technical operations of Advanced Manufacturing equipment and systems on the manufacturing floor.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to advanced manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement process improvements and support new product introductions.
* Conduct inspections and maintenance of Advanced Manufacturing machines and equipment.
* Assist in the development and implementation of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
* Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and support strategic projects.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records related to advanced manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Education And Experience
* A bachelor’s degree or higher education certificate is preferred.
* Experience in a manufacturing or technical role, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry.
* Proven experience in leadership of projects within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
* Strong technical knowledge in FDM Additive Manufacturing.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
* Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required by the business.
