Ready to step up and run a busy workshop? We're looking for a hands:on Workshop Controller with strong technical ability and natural leadership to take charge of day:to:day operations in a fast:paced municipal fleet environment.

The successful Workshop Controller will require
: Lead from the front as the senior technician while controlling daily workshop activity
: Plan workloads, schedule servicing and MOTs, and keep vehicles on the road
: Diagnose, maintain and repair a mixed fleet of light and heavy vehicles
: Control job cards, paperwork, parts ordering and stock levels
: Provide technical support to the team and maintain high quality standards
: Liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders
: Manage rotas, holidays and standby cover to ensure full workshop coverage
The successful Workshop Controller will receive
: Proven experience in an HGV or municipal workshop environment
: Strong people management and organisational skills
: Confident with diagnostics, fleet maintenance and compliance
: Comfortable using vehicle management systems and completing accurate paperwork
: HGV Category C licence preferred
: Apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent in automotive engineering (CPC an advantage)
