Role Overview
We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Private Client team. The role involves assisting solicitors with client matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated law graduate or junior legal professional to gain hands‑on experience in private client law.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate documents.
* Assisting with estate planning and administration.
* Conducting legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
* Preparing and filing court and HMRC forms related to probate and tax matters.
* Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, and external parties.
* Maintaining accurate case files, documentation, and records.
* Supporting solicitors with compliance, reporting, and due diligence.
* Attending client meetings and taking notes as required.
* Law degree (LLB) or equivalent; LPC or LLM preferred.
* Interest in private client law, including probate, trusts, and estate planning.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
* Professional, client-focused approach with discretion and integrity.
* Previous experience in private client, probate, or trusts work.
* Familiarity with tax and estate administration processes.
* Exposure to drafting and managing legal documents.
* Experience in client-facing interactions in a professional setting.
