Established for over 75 years, A&H Hargreaves is a traditional carpentry and joinery contractor based in Rossendale, Lancashire, working in the public, commercial and private sectors. We have a fully equipped modern workshop and pride ourselves on being able to manufacture bespoke quality products and undertake all aspects of site carpentry.

THE ROLE
As Project Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our operations – overseeing all projects from inception to completion. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Project Planning and Scheduling Develop detailed project timelines and ensure all milestone are met. Coordinate with joiners, sub-contractors, supplies and clients to keep workflows tight and uninterrupted
* Budget Management: Own project budgets, track costs and forecast expenditure. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality. Manage all project documentation effectively.
* Quality Control: Ensure all work meets our standards of craftsmanship and client expectations. Manage the end-to-end quality control process and drive continuous improvements
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor issues during a project and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Client Communication: Be the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates and ensure clear expectations are set and met.
* Team Coordination: Motivate and lead internal teams with a hands-on approach. Resolve issues quickly, keeping the focus on delivery.
* Health and Safety: Lead and co-ordinate health and safety processes and practices throughout the project lifecycle. Every employee in company has a responsibility for Health and Safety.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* A practical thinker with a sharp eye for detail, a results-driven mindset and comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
* Calm under pressure, quick to adapt, and relentless in pursuit of excellence
* Project management qualification (desirable but not essential with the right experience)
* Experienced in managing construction or joinery preferred but transferrable experience will be considered
* Enhanced DBS check will be required on successful appointment to this role
* Full UK Driving Licence to enable travel to client sites
HOURS OF WORK
To be agreed with candidate – Full Time and Part Time positions available.
