Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools
Pay: £95–£140 per day (higher if you hold QTS)
Contract: Day-today and long term available

Protocol Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors across South Bristol and Somerset to step into cover roles that suit your schedule and location. You do not need to be a qualified teacher; if you have done youth work, mentoring, or been in a role involving leadership or guidance, then you have the transferable skills needed for the role. We offer roles in convenient locations near you that are flexible to your availability, whether you want to work 2 days or 5. You’ll get the freedom to choose your days, the chance to build positive relationships with different schools, and competitive pay every week. Long-term opportunities are also available if you want consistency and routine.

What you'll be doing:
* Stepping into lessons across a range of subjects (no planning required!)
* Delivering pre-set work and keeping students engaged
* Managing behaviour in a calm, confident way, communicating with warmth and consistency
* Building quick rapport with students while keeping things professional
Experience that works well in this role:
* Sports coaching or youth work – if you can manage a football team, you can manage a class
* Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor experience – already familiar with the school atmosphere? Even better
* Drama, tutoring, Scouts/Guides leadership – anything that involves leading, guiding, and keeping young minds focused

* Someone with a warm, encouraging, positive nature
* Flexible, reliable, and quick on your feet
* Good sense of humour and a calm approach to challenges
* Degree not essential, but it’s a bonus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
