| Full-Time Support Role
Are you a resilient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with a friendly primary school near Headingley who are seeking an experienced SEN TA to support a Year 3 class with pupils who may present challenging behaviour and additional needs.
This is a fantastic role for someone with hands-on SEN experience who is confident managing behaviour and providing tailored support in the classroom.
Hours & Contract
1. Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Requirements
2. Proven experience supporting children with SEN
3. Experience managing challenging behaviour in a classroom setting
4. Resilient, patient, and adaptable approach
5. Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
6. Good numeracy and literacy skills
7. Reliable, punctual, and proactive
Your Role & Responsibilities
8. Provide 1:1 and group support to Year 3 pupils with SEN
9. Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour positively
10. Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks
11. Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons as required
12. Promote inclusion, independence, and engagement in classroom activities
13. Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals
