Rydon are now seeking a Financial Accountantto join our finance team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract. Our finance team supports numerous office locations for our three operating companies and this role is based at our head office in Forest Row (East Sussex). We operate a hybrid working culture, and this means that some home working is possible, this is typically 1-2 times per week.

Job Purpose
The main purpose of the FinancialAccountant role is to ensure accurate accounting records are kept to provide monthly management accounts and support the Finance Director in all financial matters. You will be contributing to the Finance Departments goal of providing proactive support to the business as a whole aided by providing timely accurate reports and ensuring compliance to company procedure's/policies.
Key Responsibilities include;
Assist at month end for both Group and Operating Company management accounts
Support year-end financial statement preparation and audit
Contribute to forecast preparation
Ad-hoc project support across the Group

The position is initially offered on a 6 month fixed term contract basis however there is potential the position may become permanent.
This is a full time position and the working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5pm.
Experience Required
The successful candidate with have;
An accountancy qualification- ACCA, ACA or equivalent with post-qualification experience in group accounting.
An awareness of internal control requirements
A good knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, look ups and formulae
Ideally (but not essential):
Construction/Development sector experience
Business Central/Evision knowledge
Reporting package exposure
In addition you will have a strong process improvement mindset, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. You will also have strong communication and stakeholder management abilities and the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
