We are looking to recruit a proactive and commercially minded Purchasing Planner and Stock Control Specialist on behalf of a growing entrepreneurial business in the electric vehicle sector.
Purchasing Planner and Stock Control Specialist
Location:Cleckheaton
Salary: £35,000 FTE (pro-rata) depending on experience
Hours: 22 hours per week (working pattern negotiable, but Monday must be included)
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team supporting customers at the forefront of commercial electric vehicle innovation.
You’ll work closely with UK and international suppliers, manage stock levels, and contribute to production planning across departments. Your contribution will directly impact supply chain efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain optimum stock levels and ensure availability across a wide product range
* Monitor stock demand and shortfalls, supporting production planning and forecasting
* Place purchase orders in GBP, Euros, and USD; manage supplier relationships and pricing
* Analyse product and supplier data to drive improvements and efficiencies
* Help identify and source new or alternative suppliers
* Manage import/export logistics in line with business needs
* Set up and maintain stock codes, BOMs, and stock locations
* Collaborate with warehouse and production teams on stocktakes and planning meetings
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in purchasing and stock control in a product-based business
* Familiarity with technical components and reading product drawings
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (NAV/Navision)
* Strong Microsoft Excel and general MS Office skills
* Confident analysing and interpreting data

This is a part-time role working 22 hours per week. The working pattern is flexible and could be spread over 3 or 4 days or 5 shorter days, but Monday must be one of your working days.
