Job Title: Project Delivery Manager (Energy from Waste) - Bristol
Contract Length: 2 years
Location: Flexible, with significant on-site presence required (Must live close by to Bristol)
Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm (37.5 hours), flexible schedule
Rate: Depends on experience
Job Purpose: Lead the development of a new specialist thermal treatment facility at the Bristol site. Manage and drive the installation and commissioning of a £30M thermal facility for industrial and healthcare waste treatment. Coordinate civils, construction, and demolition works, ensuring compliance with permits and regulations.
Key Duties:
Early Stage Activities:
* Identify and manage obligations under CDM Regulations.
* Understand project brief and operational needs.
* Assist in tender bid evaluation and contractor selection.
* Manage demolition and construction works.
* Ensure delivery programme adherence.
Planning & Permitting:
* Engage positively with stakeholders.
* Promote Company brand and act as ambassador.
* Respond to regulatory requests and lead consultations.
* Manage procurement and construction process.
Overarching Duties:
* Provide progress reports to Project Board and Senior Leadership.
* Control project spend and achievements.
* Maintain dialogue with internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as required.
KPIs:
* Obtain Planning consents and Environmental permits.
* Successfully commission hazardous waste transfer station and plant.
* Handover plant to operational teams.
* Ensure full compliance with Company policies.
Qualifications:
* Degree level education.
* Ideally qualified Engineer, Chartered Surveyor, or Project Professional.
* Project management qualification.
* Industry Health & Safety qualifications.
* Full driving licence.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in leading large-scale projects.
* Senior level experience in a large organization.
* Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and Environmental Permitting process.
* Experience in land use planning system and project management.
* Good industry contacts and negotiation skills.
* Ability to coordinate diverse teams and manage internal relations.
* Self-starter with strong initiative and IT skills.
